Protein Diet
Protein diet goes out from the point of view that because an individual keeps his carbohydrate intake to a minimum the pounds come of quicker. There is definitely some truth in that statement, but also there are many little pit falls you need to be aware of and understand when you choose an option like this one. Are you a active person? Do you like to work out or are you just looking for more tips on losing weight?
The body can only function optimally on a protein diet for a little while. Being the ingredient for muscle repair it will always get to that function first. Only once that is complete will it start to act as energy food. The problem however is that what is left might not always be enough to keep your immune system functioning properly. We are not saying that it’s bad for you, just not really the option you need to follow.
When you work out regularly you do need this great muscle food source to help you recover and become stronger. On the other hand you need the carbohydrate to fuel your system. What most people struggle to understand is that you also need the correct amount of fat. The balance of all three is important. Out of all the diets we have tried here at weight loss programs, the 60/40 ratio works the best when you are a active sports person. If you are not, the protein diet might not be the best choice for you.
